At OES Consulting, we are seeking a Structural Engineer poised to advance their career towards Chartered status while engaging in a diverse range of projects. This role is instrumental in supporting our company’s expansion and upholding our commitment to excellence in the Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy services we provide across the UK. Success in this position is measured by the ability to lead projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision, effectively manage client and team relationships, and actively contribute to our growth and innovation.

 

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead design projects, especially in steel frame structures, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. This includes taking initiative in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD and the Trimble suite of design software for drafting and design purposes. Candidates with additional skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, and C# will have the opportunity to integrate advanced technologies into our workflow.
Client Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and the design team, serving as the primary point of contact for various projects. Ensure exceptional client service that aligns with OES Consulting’s values of excellence and innovation.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work within a team environment, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively, share knowledge, and support colleagues in achieving team goals.
Continuous Learning: Show a strong willingness to learn and embrace challenges, actively seeking opportunities for professional development and contributing to the knowledge base within the company.
Qualifications:

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to work autonomously and in a team setting, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education: A BSc or equivalent in Civil Engineering is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of design experience in relevant fields, with a demonstrated track record of project management and client relationship management.
Certifications: Professional recognition or working towards Chartered status is highly regarded.
